Complaint Filing Procedure in HDFC Banks including Other Banks

This article will throw light on how to file a complaint in HDFC Bank and the levels of complaint against any of it's services. You will also learn about complaint procedure as mandated by RBI. For other banks this procedure will be more of less same.

Just like other banks, HDFC Bank too is governed by Indian government watchdog RBI. RBI sets guidelines to all banks and financial institutions in India.

HDFC Banks Complaint Levels

If you go to HDFC Bank contact us page in the bank site you'll find the HDFC Bank has listed following complaint levels:

  1. Level1:First complaint

    This is defined as first time complaint. You can file the complaint through:

    • Phone banking
    • By filling a complaint for online
    • At the bank itself
    • Or sending a letter to HDFC bank designated office ( Mumbai and Chennai)

    I happen to register a complaint by writing it in the Bank's complaint register with a carbon copy. I'm given the original paper as proof of complaint received. So this is Level- 1 complaint. Also you'll be assigned a complaint number.

  2. Level2:Grievance Redressal Officer

    If you are not satisfied with the resolution or due to inordinate delay you can now proceed to the grievance redressal officer assigned by HDFC Bank.

  3. Level3:Nodal Officer/Principal Nodal Officer

    If you are not satisfied with level-2 then HDFC bank has a list of nodal officer which you can proceed for final complaint resolution.

The Final Level: Banking Ombudsman

Reserve Bank of India(RBI)

HDFC Bank clearly specifies that if you are still not satisfied with the resolution after third level or no resolution even after 30 days of filing complaint then you can go ahead and file complaint to RBI Banking Ombudsman

At the current time RBI has designed Banking Ombudsman in 15 zones in India. Check your state and city in this Banking Ombudsman list and file your Final complaint by filling out application in this PDF format specified by RBI (type in details in the PDF form in your computer then print).

Going to court is the last step you do. Most likely your case should come within purview of Consumer Court.

Lung Cancer-Financially Deprived Family TRAUMATISED BY HDFC

Hi Team,

I am under a shock and TRAUMA to the extreme while I am bringing this issue up to you.

I would first like to bring this to your notice that I have a family of 3 members, with an ailing husband diagnosed with Lung Cancer and an infant baby. Its a love marriage, I hail from Uttar Pradesh-North and my husband is from Bangalore - South. With no any support from the family members on either sides when I was struck by the medical crisis, we were zero on finances. As my husband cannot go to work and I just delivered a baby.

At this point of time I had no other choice but to approach the print media as well as news channels. TO my surprise I had well wishers pouring in from the whole of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and people abroad with their wishes and financial help as well, whose contact details I have saved in my diary till date. This dates back to the month of June in the year 2012.

Since then me and my family has been surviving on the financial help that we had received from our well wishers.

Now, when I was left with no choice but to earn for the continued living, I joined a company called Clear Waters now based in E-City. This company has a tie up with HDFC bank and last month I opened my salary account with them.

On August first my second salary worth INR 22.020 was credited to my new HDFC account. Yesterday on 05/08/2014 when I went to withdraw money its reflecting as insufficient fund. When checked with the HDFC, E-City branch they told me that HDFC Credit Card team has put my salary on hold. When called up the customer care, they informed that its been kept on hold against an old HDFC credit card that I used to have almost 5-6 years back.

In the backdrop with reference to this HDFC credit card, I want to bring this to your notice, that I have made the payments towards the dues before I was struck with the medical emergency. And even when I was zeroing on my financial front, the COLLECTION AGENCY PEOPLE HAD COME TILL MY DOOR STEP AND THREATENED MY OLD HOUSE OWNER AND I HAD PAID A BIG AMOUNT TO THEM AT THAT TIME AS WELL. I HAVE KEPT THEM INFORMED THAT I AM IN THIS SITUATION AND THAT I DONT USE THAT CARD ANYMORE, ITS THE INTEREST THAT KEEPS PILING UP AND THEY WANTED ME TO CLEAR THAT. YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN I HAD NO MONEY TO FEED MY BABY OR TAKE MY HUSBAND TO HOSPITAL FOR CHECK UPS, DO YOU THINK I COULD HAVE PAID FOR A PILED UP INTEREST AMOUNT, WHEN I HAVE ALREADY CLEARED THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT.

IF YOU PUT YOURSELF IN MY SITUATION, I AM SURE THAT YOU WILL BE VERY MUCH UPSET TO REALIZE THAT YOUR WHOLE MONTHS SALARY HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, WITHOUT EVEN INTIMATING ME ABOUT IT.

WHEN I SHOULD BE GETTING ALL KIND OF SUPPORT TO HELP MY FAMILY COME OUT OF THIS SITUATION, INSTEAD OF HELPING ME HDFC PEOPLE HAS LEFT ME WITHOUT MONEY UNTIL I GET THE NEXT MONTH SALARY.

Not a single person contacted me physically for dully signed form formality to issue the credit card. I have never aware of these health policy you bind with my credit card. I have never used that credit card for any kind of purchase. I have never made any kind of transaction with that credit card. You can check that card as deactivation status after the date of issue.

What are the calculation logic you made over your system without any utilization of card how my outstanding amount reached more than 11, 000 balance. you have already with my present and permanent address in your system. Why you communicate me after 4 years. What is the motivation behind the late contact to my permanent address. Is it to collect huge amount from customer ?. Listen money is not growing in tree I just pick those and give you. However usage of card is zero and transaction on that card is zero from the day one, how these outstanding amounts made over my card.

Without providing these above details why you call to my permanent parent’s number and harasses them. My father also a High BP and Heart patient he has gone in deep depression when heard about your Civil Notice. What the crime I have made so you publish this Civil Notice. why you harass my parents as well as me for this unnecessary concern. I have mentally tortured from last couple of days while listen these civil notice against me, As I never made any transaction on this card. Which RBI ombudsman policy you follow to recover this zero usage outstanding amounts.

WRONG DEBIT NOT REVERSING BY HDFC TWO MONTHS BACK CHARGES

Sir there is debit in my credit card 4170 in the month of april i have already paid the total amount of outstanding including this 4170 as suggested by your executive department.

I got my Personal Loan from HDFC on 02/09/2010 for INR 150, 000. They credited INR 138, 000 after deducting their due for processing fees from customer, Due for Gap Interest Booking, Due for Stamp Duty Paid To Bank, Due for Transaction Fee Paid To Bank and of-course an Insurance for myself (HDFC says so). The insurance says, HDFC will get the loan amount, if I gets injured by an accident during the loan period. I paid 25 installments without fail out of 60. When I was unemployed (lost ma job and returned home, still jobless for 2 years), I started failing my installments.

I explained them my problems. Despite my explanation Mr. Srikanth and Mr. Suresh visited my house without contacting me, they threatened me and my family and then forced me to write a letter stating that I will pay 1 lac rupees within three months. They threatened me saying they would arrest me, if I don't give them the letter. But I failed to pay due to my pathetic situation. They are also trying to misbehave and threaten me from different part of the country through their vendors. Now they've started sending threatening, harassing, humiliating, insulting and blackmailing messages to my friends and family all over the world through Facebook and other social networking sites using girls too. Now every day I am getting calls from Suresh for making the payment of my personal loan within a day or two.

Now a lady named Reshma Nair has sent a message to several friends from my Facebook Friends list.

Message : "Hi Mr NAVEEN CHAND B, This is with regards to your personal loan, even after a repeated reminders you have failed to make the payment, We have got few of your relatives as well as friends in Blore as well Thrishur, My legal team will be visiting all the address with the arrest warrant & your brother Mr Mithun Chand who is working with EXL also will be visited, If your intention is positive in making the payment request you to reach my representative ASAP, so that we can help u come out of this smoothly. Regards Reshma Mob No 09738673556".

She has sent it to many people who don't even know anything about me now, which is humiliating and insulting.

When I asked my friend to call that number and inquire who it was, the reply was that "I am Suresh from HDFC re-conciliation team". The fact is that Suresh created this fake profile to harass me.

Till today no one has ever abused me with these many new abusive words. I have recorded almost all sms, emails and calls till date. I started ignoring their calls, also changed 3-4 SIM cards due to the Recovery Agent's harassment and humiliation.

Now, after informing them that I am proceeding with this complaint, they asked me to pay Rs 70,000. When I asked about the harassment I've gone through, they said that they've reduced Rs. 30,000 from the actual amount (I have the call from Srikanth recorded for that). Srikanth decides Rs. 30,000 for my reputation in this society.

All I needed was some time within which I'll could find a job and pay the dues without a penny less. But now that, I wont pay a single penny until you do the needful for my mental torture, insults, harassments and humiliations I've undergone till date. HDFC spoiled my reputation physically and mentally.

As per G.8. Recovery Agents engaged by banks – Draft guidelines issued by RBI :

(iv) It is understood that some banks set very stiff recovery targets or offer high incentives to recovery agents. These have, in turn, induced the recovery agents to use intimidatory and questionable methods for recovery of dues. Banks are, therefore, advised to ensure that the contracts with the recovery agents do not induce adoption of uncivilized, unlawful and questionable behavior or recovery process.

(v) A reference is invited to para 2 (v) (c) of Circular DBOD.Leg.No.BC.104/ 09.07.007 /2002-03 dated May 5, 2003 regarding Guidelines on Fair Practices Code for Lenders and para 6.3 of the Master Circular DBOD.FSD.BC.17/ 24.01.11/2007-08 dated July 2, 2007 on Credit Card Operations. In terms of these guidelines, banks were advised that in the matter of recovery of loans,

(a) the lenders should not resort to undue harassment viz. persistently bothering the borrowers at odd hours, use of muscle power for recovery of loans, etc.

(b) the banks should ensure that agents engaged by them for debt collection refrain from action/s that could damage the integrity and reputation of the bank.

(c) their agents should not resort to intimidation or harassment of any kind, either verbal or physical, against any person in their debt collection efforts, including acts intended to humiliate publicly or intrude into the privacy of the borrowers'/ credit card holders' family members, referees and friends, making threatening and anonymous calls or making false and misleading representations.

3. Banks, as principals, are responsible for the actions of their agents. Hence, they should ensure that their agents engaged for recovery of their dues should strictly adhere to the above guidelines and instructions, including the BCSBI Code, while engaged in the process of recovery of dues.

4. Complaints received by Reserve Bank regarding violation of the above guidelines and adoption of abusive practices followed by banks’ recovery agents would be viewed seriously. Reserve Bank may consider imposing a ban on a bank from engaging recovery agents in a particular area, either jurisdictional or functional, for a limited period. In case of persistent breach of above guidelines, Reserve Bank may consider extending the period of ban or the area of ban. Similar supervisory action could be attracted when the High Courts or the Supreme Court pass strictures or impose penalties against any bank or its Directors/ Officers/ agents with regard to policy, practice and procedure related to the recovery process.

Credit Card

Dear Sir/mam,

My complaint against the credit card department is regarding harassment and mental torture.

My HDFC New Credit card number is 4346781016451049
Old Card number is 4346781009892845

I am the customer of HDFC credit card from last 4 years. March 2011 is last when I used the card. I lost after that.
Since then :
New card not issued.
Bank has no idea where it went.
I am making payments to new card, but not seen it so far.
Used around 28 thousands, and paid around 75 to 80 thousands.
In Nov 2012, I paid 10500/- ( In 2 splits, in one week ) but so far it is not reflecting and bank has no answer for that.
I asked settlement a year back and till now I am following up and they are dragging. They gave an option of 45 thousands. I am absolutely not Ok with that price as we have lot of medical issues at home, wife is carrying, and many more. I lost my job and didnt get salary for few months. lot of issues and please help us to settle this very fast.
I have been continuously paying all the bills. Due to certain serious medical circumstances I wasn’t able to pay the bills since last few months.
I have been receiving continuous harassment calls almost many times in a day from the credit card collection department. One day, two collection executives have come in my home and asking for payment . My wife said that I am not able to pay and my husband is not at home. But one executive has told her with abusive language that she has to make payment. On that she was alone and she is pregnant . I am not expecting this kind of service from HDFC bank
Later they call my land line and torture my parents for the payments. They are old and retired. People call home, come home and say they know how to collect the money.
They say that they are not afraid of police and court.
My parents are upset by this act.
100 times they say CIBIL, recovery.
Even I am educated and I have brains.

After this harassing experience and medical reasons,Now I am feeling to stop and cancel the HDFC credit card by doing one time full and final settlement. I want to contacted reversal concerned Managers from HDFC so that my issue can be closed on immediate basis. After suffering this kind of mental harassment please suggest me what kind of action can I take against Collection executives.
Please suggest what should I do???
How can they call my wife, parents, and come home when I am responding.
I always respond to who ever calls me and they simply cant say that I didnt pick the call so they went home. How can they speak about my transactions with others without my permission. It is a big offense. If any thing goes wrong in my family, who is responsible.
My parents have told me that next time if HDFC guy calls or come home, they will commit Suicide.

What kind of legal action can be taken against the HDFC collection agents for mental harassment and using abusive language.

HDFC excutives harras FACEBOOK Friends

Theses days HDFC bank collection people seem to be doing anything and everything to get their target.

I have a Credit card dispute with the HDFC bank and they make collection calls every day from different numbers, if I don't pickup then they start approaching people in my contact list on Facebook. He simply start calling pople whose photo etc if I liked or they have liked mine.

This is scary practice since on facebook we may have people whom we don't know personally or never met. Now such people get calls from HDFC telling them that Kumar has done a credit card fraud and you were named as guarantor so you have to pay the money otherwise we will file an FIR against you.

Now think of person who hardly knows me and my where about and get a call from bank to deposit huge amount immediately to avoid arrest or legal action.

This is very pathetic situation and I am desperately working on how to resolve such embarrassments.

Disappointment with the service level of HDFC Customer care

my customer I'd is 41112190 and my hdfc credit card number is 5459 6440 0008 4962. I have bought a mobile of rs 23999 and wanted to convert it into an EMI.
Before buying it I hv called hdfc customer care on 10 june to get info on the same and how much interest they will charge, your representative informed me that 1.1% will be charged and have added that will buy it on 11th june thay said it is fine we will convert the same. As soon I bought and called up they said you have to wait another 24 to 48 hrs to convert the same into EMI. Now when today I.e 12th june I called again, customer care reprenttative told me no offer is available.
1st they said we will do it and den they are saying they can not.
I have asked them to check my call recording and they said the same request is there.
I m a regular user of HDFC credit card. Pls let me knw dat d word of mouth frm ph banking is reliable or not.
Pls note my credit card bill will be generating soon and I don't want to pay the entire amount all together.
And also if I receive the product from flipkart they will not cancel the order also.
I would request you to please revert on the same ASAP. As I have only one day time my product will be sent by 14th june.

Cleared the cheque by HDFC bank before due date

Have issued a cheque#951122 to a vendor to clear the same on 8th May'14. But the same was cleared by bank on 7th May'14 and due to such mistake we cannot able to get the services from vendor.

Have contacted bank for such a big mistake; however we are not getting appropreate answer from the bank.

Please note that Credit Card has been offered by HDFC bank with no additional expense except Late fee for the amount used through credit card.

However, for last few months they were unable to deliver the credit card bills to the said address and no one ever contacted me from HDFC credit card bank behalf.

Later my office address changed and i requested online for address change with the Credit Card dept, they changed the address but with huge amount added which includes Late fee plus Finance Charge. by definition of Bank that Finance charge is the interest fee they charge on amount used from credit card if it is not payable on time.
Issues:
1. I have paid timely payments but if they are not able deliver the bills how would i come to know that how much i have to pay to the Credit Card company.
2. However, i have paid all the payable amount some times including late fee
3. As it not informed to me by the HDFC credit card representative, that the bank will apply FINANCE CHARGE on late payment amount, therefore i have not paid this finance charge.
4. They keep calling and forcing me to pay this amount also..
6. And now they keep on increasing the amount of Finance charge by adding further more late fees and put my account hold.

it is same like when villagers borrowed money from landlord and never able to return it because landlord keep on adding interest.

Kindly help in this matter.

False credit card due from HDFC and saving account on hold

My Credit Card # - 4617 xxxx xxxx 7779 was hacked in February'2014 and after i complaint with HDFC bank the same has been resolved and i have a written communication from HDFC Bank stating the same.

But in April'2014 again i got call from HDFC Credit Card department that i have some outstanding amount of Rs 37,000 with some HDFC Credit Card which I dont posses and now HDFC have put my saving account on HOLD!!!
This is really frustrating and unprofessional as there is no intimation from bank's side and after telling number of times to my personal banker I am facing this issue.

Pls look into this issue at earliest or arrange a call on my registered contact number or I have to approach RBI/Law to get it resolved.

Respected Madam/Sir,

I beg to state that I am residing in West Bengal, at Bansdroni area
-Kolkata -700070 and our area as well as our state is developing day
to day which is very influenced me and we feel very secure now a days
under your supervision.

I express regarding one problem which make me very unsecured that I
have a loan account no.:14589542 with HDFC Bank Ltd. Of Rs.145000 (
one lakh forty five thousand only) for which I have already paid
Rs.134725(one lakh thirty four thousand seven hundred twenty five
only) and I agreed for amicable settlement with Mr. Gupta
(M)9330038195, Bank personnel of the balance amount but he blocked
my salary which comes in HDFC Bank dtd.03/04/2014 that I have earned
very hard during the month.

On dtd. 05/04/2014 I met with Mr. Gupta in his office as he asked me
to come for settlement for the balance amount where he is sitting at
Grillinder House at Dalhousie Area in Kolkata and I requesting him to
release my salary and for the settlement but he did not listened me
and thrown me out by using slang languages also threaten me by
physically hit of his many subordinates who have also insulted me by
using very slang languages for 2 hours continuously.

After coming out of his office I got very nervous and met an accident
on road with a car while I was walking and few people helped me for
taking to hospital and from then I have very shocked of that incident.

As per their instruction mail I met senior bank personnel Mr. Dave(Vice President -Kolkata) dtd.10/04/2014 and also given PDC cheques last month but they blocked my salary dtd.30/04/2014 again.

I could not understand their bank personnel who have sent bouncers at my
house dtd.27/04/2014 & 29/04/2014 respectively who harassed me
mentally & physically and also tried to hit me. They asked to show
them the settlement letter which I could not show them as Mr. Dave have not given me the same and also they threaten me that they would come again.

When I met with Mr. Dave dtd.10/04/2014 where he deducted Rs.5389 from my
blocked salary account. I am very poor person could not meet the
financial crisis, we are starving most of the days, my child crying
for foods every night but I could not give him anything. Although I
given Mr. Dave 10 nos of future PDC as he wanted it dtd.10/04/2014.

Further they have blocked my salary dtd.30/04/2014 Rs.13285.00 including
last month and I have talked to Mr.Dave senior manager and he said that their credit card division hold my salary but I informed him that i have settle credit card account and I have the settlement letter. He could not response further.

I have contracted Mr. Kabir (7439040797) Credit card division of HDFC Bank and he told me that he could not help and cut his phone. I am ringing but he could not give any response. And Mr. Dave could not helped me also.

In this situation they are confirming of our death. Every month
they have deducted my salary which I have earned very hard, I am very poor
person, my son reading at school and they are disturbing our life.

I write to request to release my salary which have been blocked by Mr.
Minal Gupta(M)9330038195/Mr. Dave. I am very poor man that I myself and family
are starving most of the days and my child are crying for foods but I
could not give him anything expect water.

I write to pray to please arrange for refund of my total salary of Rs.19019 which they have blocked for last two month at the earliest else I have to commit to suicide with my family.

COMPLAINT AGAINST MISBEHAVIOUR (LOAN DEPT.)

The car loan was taken on my mother's name mrs.Purnima Brahma in the month of feb,2014.we have given 8blank cheque leaves of uco bank with signatures only to MR.SATRA RAI of HDFC BANK,BONGAIGAON BRANCH,assam as it was to be in ECS form from UCO bank.our 1st installment date was 7th APRIL,2014.there was in sufficiant balance in the hdfc a.c but that is not at all related as the inatallment value was to be deducted from UCO bank.we where waiting that they will at least inform about the same but days pass by and no news from mr.rai.i called him on 16th april n he picked and when i asked him he told i dnt know about the cheque deposited.what the hell is this again.HE doesnt know??HOPELESS.when i and my dad went tyo meet him,he gave excuces that he already told dad,this,that.now we are liable to pay the fine for HIS fault.wonderful..fine,but this is not yet over.later it is to be autodebited from hdfc a.c itself.when i asked the cheques back we found two leaves are missing.When asked,he behaved very rudely.he said that complain against me wherever you want,dont call me,i am busy.whats that mean "DONT CALL ME"?isnt he the concernd person?with whome do we need to interact regarding this matter then?what the hell was that he said?its is shame,REALLY SHAME that a concerned person of such a reknownd bank acts so immature and irresponsible.My dad being a senior citizen had to visit ur bank several times..Please take IMMEDIATE step against HIM or else i will have to complain to higher level.today is 23/04/14 and i will be waiting to get proper response from your grivance team.

Credit Card - Settlement Issue

Dear Sir,

I used 12,000 in the HDFC Credit card and i missed to pay in mean while i payed minimum amount against the amount, it around 15,000 (I have taken Only 12,000). Now i went to settlement, they tell that my outstanding amount is nearly 22,000. I don't know why they ar tell like.

I would like to draw your attention to Auto Loan A/C no. 27894749 for a new Hyundai Verna 1.6 VTVT Petrol which has been approved by your Bank on 11/04/2014. However, Payment to the car dealer was stopped due to my rent agreement verification.
I would like to tell you that the landlord of the place where I live had been relocated to Canada before I shifted here. Unfortunately, he didn't give any authorized letter to its caretaker whose sign is on the agreement (as this happens in small town when there is still some trust left in people). I had given my land owner's phone number of Canada and his email ID to your sales representative but they didn't consider it. They asked me to get a letter from a gazetted officer stating that I am residing in this place for last 3-4 months. I don’t know such person and trust me nobody will do that for a term called "loan"! Then they asked me to give a copy of my gas connection with the changed (new) address, since it contains my previous address on it. I tried to do that too but Eureka person told me that it can't be changed as long as you stay in Dehradun. However, the address on my coupon book can be changed but not on the main paper. I am stuck in a loan predicament. It's terrible.
Furthermore, I had given my all the documents that I had, as listed
1. Passport copy
2. Rent Agreement
3. PAN Card
4. Voter Id
5. Driving License
6. My IIT Kanpur degree and transcript
7. My appointment letter of my present company where I have been working since 2 years and 3 months.

Also I had taken a loan from HDFC for one year previously which was cleared on January 2014. It was for a bike Bajaj Avenger 220.
I had given my every details of my family members such as my sister who is a doctor (MBBS) and my brother in law who is also a doctor (Neurologist) both working at Apex hospital, Jaipur. My brother is a psychiatrist working in Agra Mental Hospital, Agra. Everything they asked, I provided but getting a sign from a gazetted officer, it's not a realistic demand if you are residing outside of your home state, even in a home state, it could be as difficult as in other state.
I just want to tell you guys that if it's not done by this week then you are going to lose a potential customer of yours just because I couldn't get a sign from a so called gazetted officer. Another set of my docs are ready and other banks are too. So, decide quickly else I have other options too.

I have settle down my credit card and i have paid the settlement amount on regular basis.As i was hospilized in Oct 2013 unable to pay the settlement amount.

Now in nov 2013 i received call from Ms.Seema of Janakpuri branch and she is asking for the payment of June 2013,i have told him that from May 2013 to sep 2013 i have never miss the payment.
Every time Mr.Vimal of rajouri garden branch ask me after 20th of every month for the payment and i have paid.

Today Mr Ashan Mohmmad has come to me from South ex branch and i have discuss him the same issue..

Now my issue is that why my payment of June 2013 is not showing in your system i.e Rs 2000.

You can say it because I can't fine to you.

But that time when I told you that I didn't find my card at my mailing address while you people are posting me bills at the same address.
That’s the only reason in delay of payment and that was a miscommunication.

After that being an Indian I realize my responsibly and paid all my credits borrowed by you. But when I had realized that you people are not able to deliver my card at my end the after I paid all my purchased bill and thought, I finally got rid of it.
But I didn’t know that you are HDFC “Human Demoralize Financial Corporation”.
Here again, I paid all my fraud over dues with the late fee….….

HDFC CREDIT CARD HARASSMENT

My Name is Namita Powale, I was HDFC CREDIT CARD HOLDER but since last three years my card is block account is settled. I already paid Rs. 38,000/- or more and strictly called them cancelled my credit card. I received a call regarding same for payment confirmation and cancellation receipt of my credit card. My card limit was 40,000/-. After couple of months collection agencies started calling me for payments. I was under impression that my account was settled and by them my account kept accruing following charges each month:
Late fee
Service charge for Late fee
Overlimit charge
Service charge for Overlimit charge
Finance charge / Interest
Service charge for Finance charge / Interest
Ms Fatima Shaikh wants me to pay 72,000/- (all above charges) thats not possible for me and I will not able to pay as well because I already paid my usage with interest of HDFC Bank. In last week I received calls from +919422652804, +919320151988, +912261396400. I wanted to launch a complaint against these numbers as they using abusive language over the phone with me and next time I didn’t pick a call they called on my Husband’s office talked to owner of the company in abusive language. I am continuously telling them that I will not pay anything now because issue is over I don’t even know my card no because it’s a past since they are sending their executives to my home continuously calling my friends and family. Now I feel it’s kind of an extortion calls I am receiving from hdfc people and they don’t have any manners of talking to customers. Now I am a jobless pregnant lady from middle class family can’t be pay such a huge amount and y should I pay?? HDFC bank want me to pay Rs. 72,000/- against for the credit amount Rs. 40,000/- against which I Total I paid more than Rs. 40,000/-. If will not pay this then they will give me, my family extortion calls. I need .How much a person has to pay to a bank against his card. It’s a crime for person to take hdfc card .A person has to pay more than his usage .I wants a right PERSON TO GUIDE ME where i can complaint against these persons and wanted to sort out this problem without paying a single penny.
Also I want few questions to be answered:
1. Does HDFC collection executive have right to lie and give false commitments to achieve their monthly targets?
2. Does HDFC bank have authority to abuse and threaten people to collect the money?
3. Does HDFC collection agent have rights to unethically avail card member’s family members and friend’s information?
4. Does HDFC collection agent have rights to call card member’s family members and for collection?
5. Does HDFC collection agent have rights to harass card member’s family members and friends and to threaten them?
6. Does HDFC bank often sends wrong letters for settlement to the customers?
7. Will I get justice and compensated for the trauma I had gone through due to unethical business practice followed by HDFC bank executives?
8. Will I get any written explanation and apology from HDFC bank?

HDFC bank has caused a mental trauma to Me, My family members and my family friends.
HDFC bank has spoiled my CIBIL records beyond repair.
HDFC bank executives have jeopardized banks reputation and my financial standing.
I have been harassed, humiliated and traumatized by the recovery agents employed by HDFC Bank.
It has caused me great embarrassment in my society and spoiled my reputation.

I have lost faith in HDFC credit card division and the way your collection department behaves. Also I have all recordings regarding the harassment received from collection executive employed by HDFC Bank and would register a police complaint against them and the bank.

I need an escalation in this case and would like to get a favourable resolution to this issue, falling which I will be forced to take further.

It is not a bank it is a shark company and that is why it is making huge profits
It has no concerns of account holder. It refuses to accept cash even single rupee in the salary account. It advise customers to deposit only cheque and for cheque on their in the same bank it asks for eight hours time to credit the proceeds

You can not ask them how it takes eight hours for internal transfer it rudely tells you to do internet banking what a class bank. This bank knows only how to grab cream accounts of company and have no ethic of principals.

Missing Payment 11,302 Rs

I'm Manu Porwal.My saving account is HDFC bank (A/C No .06161050062138)

Need money so i went to Hdfc Bank at Tilak Nagar Branch New Delhi 18 , i visit this branch At least 5 times in previous 9 days whenever i ask him about my cheque status they simply says i don't have any information and they just said wait for 3 days till the time you check dint get clear i did that, still check not get cleared then again i visit again they said no status now just wait for next 6 days i did that and also they are very much lazy guys whoever are there in this branch they does wanna help because they depend on Each other if you go to counter No1 where a lady sit on that counter then what she will suggest just go to No 2 counter then again they suggest you to go up if you go up they suggest you to go down see how they work actually.so however i am not getting a proper response from them after that recently i visited today it self they told me i have already forwarded a email yesterday to my higher authority so i might be getting reply of that mail in 30 minutes just wait till the time i get revert i did that then i asked the same they said i will inform you by evening i wait for there call day gone nothing happened again i visit today they said let me send them a email once again just wait for 15 minutes i did that again no response they said give me time of next 24 hours that i am doing them but i don't think so any thing going happen so please either you can give to me my check back so that i can collect cash from them else tell me if any problem like if there is no sufficient funds or signature miss match anything so that i can get to know as well as i can tell them who had issued this cheque to me.......

the blue dart courrier is not delivering the issued credit card

i am saroj kumar sahoo,date of birth 15/05/1986 had applied for credit card and it was approved.The card ending 1343 was sent through BLUE DART AWB #42572282723 on dated 21/03/2014 and was reached at balasore blue dart branch on dated 25/03/2014. Neither he delivered in my residence nor he called me,when i reached at blue dart office in balasore on 26th march 2014 he misbehaved me and told that we can keep the parcel with us for the next 10days.when i requested him
to handover the parcel he refused me and asked for bribe.

So kindly help me how to get my credit card
and take action on the courrier(blue dart, balasore) and requesting to chose any
other option for better communication.

I had platinum credit card with number 5878 -last four digits. exp was 03/13. I gave the written application in bank atleast 15 times after card expiry. Mr Gaurav is the person I talked to personally. There is no response. Such ill treatment is not expected out of HDFC bank. Curses to this bank for harassing me for a petty credit card for an year.

Hi Team, I have been using a credit card (5241-1100-0037-3782) from HDFC bank .I got a call from Mumbai HDFC helpline number 28564332 on 12th march 2014 @ 6.48 P.m inquiring about my card details to refund the FCY charges made on my previous bill.After 5 minutes i got a call from HDFC customer care that my card is hacked and it has made an unauthorised payment of 5000 to AIRTEL BILLSESK.I informed customer care to block the card and sent an dispute form on the charges made as per the customer care.The customer care informed me that it will take 3 days to settle money to merchant so we will cancel the payment.but after 3-4 days of mail interaction and call interaction ,today the confirmed me i have to make a payment for the charges incurred even though it isn''t made by me or through my approval.my question is now why were the bank take the responsibility to cancel the payment when i have informed to block my card and given a written letter informing them about the dispute.Now they have asked me to follow up with airtel to cancel the charges and refund it to me.why haven''t the taken step to cancel the payment when i have informed them via all means that its a disputed transaction instead me to follow up with them and make it a long process

ATM problem : between SBI & HDFC

Sir,

On 5th Feb.2014, I have withdrawal 10000 Rs from HDFC ATM (Airoli new Mumbai setc 8) through SBI ATM Card but I got only 1500 rs.Same day I have written the complained in SBI bank . After few days Rs.1100 is credited in my SBI account .

Again we contacted the SBI bank for the remaining pending amount & they filed complain again but after few hours we got message that your complain has been rejected & closed without getting the remaining amount .

As a customer ,we are running between the banks for our own money ,kindly look after it .If you need any details about my problem please contact me .

HDFC doing financial fraud

My name is Lokesh Rai , I work in a call center based in DELHI NCR and hold a salary a/c in HDFC since 31st JAN 2013 whilst I opened the a/c with HDFC the banking advisors ,they never asked me to fill my a/c form myself instead they took my signature on the form and never told that they are enrolling me for a demat a/c ,i was under the impression that why would a bank cheat people after all they are generating bussiness from people but yesterday on 13th march 2014 they deducted 842 rupees from my a/c for demat a/c fee i called them immidiately and everytime i was requesting a manager they were disconnecting my calls . finally i got hold of a manager called sirleen she was very harsh and finally arranged a call from the branch ,the branch advisor called up after a short while ,i informed him everything and told him even if i have enrolled myself for the demat a/c i never received any documentations from the bank so far in one year , but finally he scolded me and said " sir aapko jo karna hai kar lo aapke paise wapas nai honge ,apko consumer court jana hai to jao case karna hai to karo nai denge paise wapas nai denge " if i had opened any demat a/c may be by mistake i must receive all paticulars about the a/c and the documentation on my address which i never received any time during the course of 1 year. It has really been a very sorry state of affair that such a reputed bank cheats people and do big time financial fraud , i wanna take them to consumer court finally consumer court coz i have no options left i have all calls recorded on my phone which i made yesterday. i work in a call center and earn les and lives in delhi i have to feed my family it becomes difficult 800 bucks for me is my food for 10 days how would i manage please help me i need my money back please i am ready to take hdfc to consumer court i have all calls recorded . plz help me otherwise i m gonna suiscide

Demanding money against fake bill from HDFC Bank Ctredit card

Dear Sir,

I have a hdfc bank credit card. on 8 Dec 2012 I have received a bill against my Credit card thats amount was Rs9400 where I have purchased only 5600. I have registered a complain against this matter at HDFC Bank, as they told that I have to pay all the money first then they will investigate. At that time I felt something happening is wrong. I requested them again & again to shut out this matter, but they did not take any action. That problem is pending yet. Every month they are adding interest and fine with that bill and sending me. At this situation what will I do. Please Guide me.

Credit card not received-CIBIL showing entry

Dear sir/madam,
With reference to my AVBPS1502M, MY CIBIL report shows an over due entry for HDFC bank credit card no. 4346771008307978 for Rs. 15704. I have never received any such card from HDFC bank. I complained to the bank for the same and called them several times but they are not responding.

Pl. direct the bank to either do an investigation or clear my records from

then you can deduct the amount. I have not received salary till now but I have taken from someone and then I have paid amount 4510/- through my net banking and 2000/- will

Sir, I am your user from last 3 years and I have also taken personal loan and also using Credit Card.. I am also paying EMI and last month EMI which I am paying today because lack
of money.

You are sitting over there just because of us customers. If you will do disappoint your customer then how can you grow.

hdfc home loan -prossesing fees

I have applied home loan (balance transfer) to hdfc on nov 13 and i paid processing fee in three checques 12000,3000 and 1400 but they rejected my loan application due to some reasons but they did not reverse my processing fee and i made a reguler follow up but they did not provide proper information finaly they deducted 1500 for each checque for service charge in total i paid RS 16400 but they told me to reverse only RS12000,Could you please give the solution to recover my processing fee.

Complaint against HDFC bank With reference to credit card

This is with reference to complaints lodged with HDFC bank with complaints no.s 13327185066 and 13334211530 in relation to Titanium edge credit card issue to Geetika Jawa, an employee of KPMG Global Services Pvt Limited. I was not even informed that a fees of Rs. 670 would be initially charged on the credit card in the first statement. After that, I was told that if I make a transaction woth INR 10,000 the fees charged in the statement would be waived off in the next bill but it has not been done as I had made a transaction woth INR 17,000. Please look into this matter asap as I wont be paying the bill that has become due if the fees is not waived off. I have been trying to contact the customer care executives via the HDFC bank helpline no 01161606161 but nobody is answering my call for the past one week. There is a limit to everything and I am really disgusted with the way HDFC is ignoring the complaints made by its customers and not attending to them.

Inappropriate Service Level

Experience with HDFC BANK is too bad. You are made to wait for your cards or pin numbers for too long. when you call at their helpline you do not get a proper response or a very rude response which is not acceptable. tried to get in touch with branch but no body their to help you expect few. very poor service and customer handling experience.

credit card cancelled in oct 2011 and send to chennai as instructed. holder left india. after few months credit card dept calling relatives and asking more pending money. HAD CALLED A SENIOR CITIZEN CONSTANTLY TILL PAYEMNT WAS DONE. Said they will black list holder's name. So paid the money they asked in oct 2012. till now no NOC revived. now they r not picing up phone. May be after few months again call to say abt "pending payment."

Loan Harassment

Dear Sir,

I had applied for a personal loan from HDFC bank where I hold a salary account. My customer id is 42834775. My application was initially rejected saying that i would need a co-applicant. After that, my mother became my co-applicant and my application was yet again rejected saying that she had loans of her own, which is completely her personal matter. They had initially claimed that a co-applicant is just an added security and as I was the main applicant, my records would be looked into. As I had no loans on me, i should have ideally gotten the loan.

However, HDFC representatives were extremely rude while dealing with me (even though I hold a salaried account there which makes me their customer). Not only are they extremely irresponsible in updating the customer keeping the customer waiting and hanging for days on end, but when the customer calls them up, they dont bother receiving the call, reject the call, and have no courtesy whatsoever to call back later. Two of the employees who were extremely rude in their dealings with the customer are Mr. Sathish and Mrs. Laxmi in Bangalore.

They have no decency in talking and are highly irresponsible when it comes to keep the customer updated. I have never had such a bad experience with any bank ever. People say that private banks are very efficient, but after this experience I have to disagree. At least I know this much, that HDFC is pathetic when it comes to customer and banking services. Also, judging by the number of complaints on this page, I see that I'm not the only one to complain about their pathetic banking service.

Why do they make false claims when they cant even fulfill it? I am currently in discussion with my lawyer if I can sue the bank on grounds of harassment and false claims. I will also definitely try to remove my salary account from HDFC as soon as the procedure for doing so permits.

Savings Account not converted into a Salary Account by HDFC Bank

My company has tie up with HDFC bank to open Salary accounts. My Customer id is 37331959. As I already have a savings account in the HDFC bank, I submitted an application on 08.08.2012 to convert by savings account into a salary account. But still, no action have been taken. I have finally decided to lodge a complaint against the HDFC bank for not showing any courtesy to its customers.

HDFC Credit Card

I Dhaval Sharma HDFC Credit Card Number 5176521009059462, has outstanding around 30000, I stop paying my dues due to misbehaving and misleading me by collection agent.
After they are settle my credit card and with mutual understanding payment date set as 01-Aug-2012. No person and call come to collect the payment.
Then on 04-Aug-2012, Bank one sided take desssion, ceased my HDFC account and as per some letter, they will debit 18736 rupee from my account.

As I have regular payee of my HDFC Credit Card and HDFC Loan EMI, kindly help me to recover my money.
I am from the middle class family and paying 19000 in slot is very big deal for me.

Harrasment

I am being continuously harassed by your recovery agents. There was a loan I took from HDFC (biggest mistake in my life.) Below is the detail of that loan.

LOAN OF JUST RS. 1693/ MONTH

I am getting calls by your agents stating that due insufficient funds, cheque was bounced in the month of May 2012 (which is absolutely non-sense).

Today I got a call from a lady (phone number : 01127387387) and she said that it was not insufficient funds but some technical problem. In a rude way, she said that you have to pay penalty otherwise I’ll not get NOC.

I guess there should be an action against it as it was not my fault. Every month amount is debited from my account.

Waiting for positive and quick reply.

Harrassment and cheating by HDFC bank

accidentally i took a credit card from HDFC and then a BT of 80k at 0.99%, but the interest rates added to the statements were higher than my expectations. When i asked for an explanation, these guys say that, yes they tried calling me over phone but i was not reachable :), that too after some 4-5 months. I used the card for about 8months and looking at the support issues generated, felt going with these guys as a not a good option at all and tried closing it, but i never received any proper statements. Then, i lost my job and when i tried to update my address for communication,, i hardly found any response. and then they say the card was upgraded and they can send it to me, if i can update my address :)

And from then .. they visit my house for payments but cant update my address, they call me each and everyday but in every single mailn saythat i was not reachable. they call even my sister and brother-inlaws.. for a payment. they visit my neighbours too.. speaking about the payments.. they have no proper defence for asking a payment so cant call me, but rather call my relatives and harrass them, and i receive blank calls..

and its almost 4 years now.. no idea, whom toescalate these things..

Dear Sir,
I Had Hdfc Bank Credit Card But i was lost my credit card same time i was complaint to customer care after the complaint there was no communication from the bank side.Now Agency Executives are Harracing my Family and i am getting thretning calls from the ageny.since i have not made any transation in my card.because of the ageny harrasemnt i am goning to file a complaint on HDFC Bank.
