Consumer Complaints Tips - read before making complaints!

I’ve some useful ideas which I’ve myself experienced in my life, you can save some of your hassles while you make any consumer complaint.

Rule 1: Don’t be lazy

Act now! Register your complaint immediately. Usually a product breaks down just one day before when the warranty expires!

Rule 2: Get a complaint number

Always get a complaint number and note it at a safe place. You’ll only make a fool of yourself by calling the service centers and company executives unnecessarily if you don’t have one. Since no one will remember your complaint after one goes to one’s home!

Rule3: Talk with the right person

Always raise your complaint with the right person who will most probably be the all India customer care executive at some toll free number. Wait for what he/she says, understand the issue, ask for a complaint number, note down the resolution date and wait patiently till the resolution date. When you escalate your complaint, you see that you talk with the right senior person who has authority.

Remember in big companies all this is required for proper maintenance of consumer complaints, so you should cooperate the company with it’s proper channel for raising & resolution of your complaint.

Rule 4: Never be rude with company personnel

Never be rude with any company executive. You can be rude and talk anything with the service center executive since the service centers are simply on contract and are not rolls of the company. Threaten the company but in “decent way”!

Rule 5: Follow the rules normally

Always do your duty, whatever be your complaints for example even if you’ve been billed wrongly pay the dues on time but at the same time follow up with your company. This is considered good etiquette. If you don’t do this, you not only break their "Terms of Service" but also project yourself as unruly person reducing your chances of winning complaint in your favor. Remember you’re only single person fighting against a possibly very big company.

Moreover in a big company, however good, complaints do occur and some customers always faces hassles. It is not necessary that company had done it against you intentionally.

Rule 6: Keep in mind the time frame and legal procedure

If you ever escalate your complaint always keep in mind the time frame and legal procedure. For example in case of telecom complaints never send a complaint to the nodal officer without first registering with the customer care and waiting till it’s resolution. Similarly if you ever send complaint to the appellate authority do it within 3 months after the expiry of the complaint resolution time limit specified by the nodal officer. Otherwise not only your request will be rejected, most likely you’ll not be ever notified of this rejection.

Also unless you’ve not completed the "proper channel" procedure specified by company for complaint resolution or as mandated by government, don’t waste time thinking of going to consumer forum. You’ll only make a fool of yourself. For example for telecom complaints unless you’ve gone through raising your complaints in this fashion: Customer Care -> Nodal Officer -> Appellate Authority etc don’t go to consumer forum. Your application will be rejected just because you did not follow the specified company procedure.

Rule 7: Roar like a lion

Threaten the company of dire legal action but in decent way. Even if you are not going to pull the company in consumer forum never let the company know this. Pretend that you’re all set to do it. Send a normal and final notice prior to filing complaint in consumer forum( which you’re not!).

Raise hue and cry on media, in internet forums etc. If possible write letters to newspapers and media. Every company is wary of it’s image, this can have serious affect on the company.

Rule 8: Never go to consumer court!

Unless you seriously want to get justice (for example, which caused loss of life), never go for Consumer Forum. You’ll face unlimited court adjournments and court procedures. That is, our own democratic system is to blame. Even if you win the case against company, you’ll not get damages more than the cost of the product! In India you CAN NOT! In USA you can sue for 1 billion dollar! Not in India. At most you’ll get Rs. 1000 for court expenditure, Rs. 500 for mental harassment, plus 8% interest.

Rule 9: Lawyer for the company comes FREE OF COST

A company usually hires a law-firm on contract for a year or so. In short company’s cost to the law firm is fixed whether the law-firm fights company’s single case or 1000 in a year.

Rule 10: Don’t go for a lawyer

If in the worst case you’ve decided to knock the doors of consumer court, then it is most likely that you don’t need a lawyer because you can easily fight the case yourself. Consumer case is all non-technical stuff and you can do it yourself. Actually this is the main objective of consumer courts in India so that an ordinary consumer can represent herself/himself easily without going for any advocates.

Rule 11: Go only for a good lawyer

Always take feedback from some known people before you select a lawyer and better take second opinion of an experienced lawyer regularly during your long legal hassle in Indian courts!

If you’re claiming damages for Rs. 1000 then you may end up paying Rs. 50,000 to your lawyer in 20 years. Also remember that a lawyer for the company is free of cost.


Oh the most important! I hope you’ve kept the purchase receipt of the product. Otherwise forget about the complaint!

BIG BAZAAR EXCHANGE OFFER SCHEME

Future Group Big Bazaar had recently concluded a scheme in which they issued coupon to consumer on their selling anything of their house hold used/scrap items. In the scheme they did noy disclose the facts of the scheme that that will adjust only 20% of the coupon in the price. What they advertised was extra discount. Then the word propagated is exchange. Now under this misconcept of the scheme the consumer sold many of their junk for a value even upto 20000 to 40000. But this was done due to misleading propaganda and concealing the important condition by BIG BAZAAR that they are not giving any extra discount, but only adjusting coupons worth 20% of item price.

Now this is fraud with the consumer as large number of consumers shall not be able to utilise these coupons even in one year, where as the scheme enforces one week to utilise the coupons. Thus crores worth of coupons shall be pocketed by BIG BAZAAR.

I request Consumers and Activities to come out with the remedy to sufferers and also spread this malpractice of BIG BAzaar

I had attended a ICCA '12 at jipmer, Pondicherry. Got mail from these people that they will give us a 16GB pen Drive with a International Certification for Attending the Session. I had also paid Rs.850.00 and attended one session .when i asked about that pen drive and certificate . On that Day they told will sent it by Post to my Address. But i did not Receive any of these . then i Tried to Contact a person who Organized with me : Sathish --7373735253 is his contact. His mobile was in switchoff mode from the next day of this conference.

Then i had sent several Mails to this technoforum.co.in contact mail id . i get reply from

I am a user of BSNL prepaid mobile service. My Pre Paid No is 09411211810. yesterday i surpriced for my deducted Rs 20 from my balance.After this i try to call the customer care no9412024365. and toll free number but no connectivity to find out because of busy the number,this deduction by BSNL is not a first time to me before two time also doing this by BSNL. pl refund the wrongly charged amount. Customer care executives don’t want to hear the matter carefully. Very wellknown speech “Server is down we can not help you call after 3-4 Hrs”

balance deduction in the name of VAS services

I am a user of reliance prepaid mobile service my mobile No.7305553334 in the past one week the network charged/deducted like Rs.5,10,15 & 30 per day or whenever the balance is available in my account. After spoke with the consumer service executives they have refund the amount and also deduction will happens many times i have complaint to their customer care officials they cant stop the deduction.

Now I have sent a mail to TRAI and awaiting for their reply. what will do send idea's to this problem

Sir I have purchased a Washing Machine from G.S.Electronics Patiala on Diwali but there is no Demo given to us after so many requests to your Dealer. Harrasment

I am surprised and disturbed to receive your email and a letter signed by Dinesh dated 26th June regarding your false charge against me about soliciting official data from any of the employees of Simplilearn after my resignation. I have documented my reply to Dinesh's letter in the attached file. I am also sending this letter to you through registered post.

At the time of joining, I had signed the employment contract of Simplilearn and have complied to all the terms and conditions. I have been harassed and forced to resign from the company as I insisted to clear my incentive dues. After resignation, you can not force me to sign any other document and link it to my pending dues (salary for 11 days and pending incentives) and relieving letter.

Hence I would request you to please clear my pending dues and issue the relieving letter asap. Else I will be forced to take the legal actions / approach to concerned authorities like NHRC to seek justice.

unreasonable collection of penalty of Rs.740/-

My self & my wife are having reserved sleeper class ticket from Secundrabad to Visakhapatnam for the journey date of 21-12-2012in Godavari express.(PNR 4655498574/ Berth no. S-10 / 11 and 14). But boarded the train at HYDERBAD station. Just before the arrival of Secundrabad Rly Station, TTE came and collected penalty of Rs.740/-,by force and told that you are traveling without ticket from HYDERABAD to SECUNDRABAD. The Excess Fare Ticket no.P406165/21/12.
The charges per ticket is Rs.120 + Rs. 250 = Rs.370 and hence Rs.740 for 2 tickets collected from. This is highly irregular and unreasonable.

Hence, I request the concerned Railway authorities to look into the matter and do justice by refunding the excess fare amount of Rs.740, which was recovered from me, by force.

Railway Ticket Counter Staff need to learn the customer service

I am a cancer patient and had to travel from Jammu to Mumbai for periodical checkup at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai under cancer patient quota in 3 A compartments. I had hospital letter issued by Saifee Hospital which was signed by the doctor with hospital stamp on it under registration number 34748. I approached to reservation counter # 2734 at Jammu Tawi railway station on 22nd November 2012 at 1415 hrs. to book my ticket. The person at the ticket counter refused to book my ticket by rejecting the hospital letter saying that it doesn’t have the doctor’s stamp on it. I went to the DRM’s office and brought the matter to his attention, he said that it has nothing wrong with this letter as long as hospital stamp, registration number and doctor’s signature on it, it is acceptable. I came back to counter again and told the person at the said counter what exactly DRM said to me. I am very sad to say you that, the person at the ticket booking counter insulted me in slang language as SAHAB KA BAAP BHI AAYEGA TAB BHI MAIN TICKET NAHI DUNGA and he thrown out the hospital letter at me. I request you to look upon this matter. Person, who doesn't have any sense of manner, should not take any post of public interaction. I request that strong actions should be taken against the IRCTC staff because this is a blunder of IRCTC. Think once that how a cancer patient can travel in such scenario as it is a long journey from Jammu Tawi to Mumbai and there is no confirmed seat available in tatkal booking too. I stepped out the station and found out a travel agent and booked a tatkal ticket for the next day by paying extra charges to the travel agent also spent two days and night at Jammu Railway station to board the train to Delhi and then a day at New Delhi Railway Station with escort. Now sir, what will be your comment after knowing my horrible experience with the railway organization? I was mentally tortured by the ticketing staff. Probably I don’t know how many passengers have been suffering like me on daily basis. I have submitted a complaint vide complaint reference No. W/NR/FZR/000013871 on 5th December 2012 on IR Web Portal under complaints and suggestions page for the reimbursement of my ticket. Hopefully I will get justice from our prestigious Railway organization by accepting my claim ASAP.

Dear Sir,
The matter related to Drug Licencing Authority of State Govt. which normally issues drug licences to interested person who has requisite qualification & experience. We have submitted our application on 14.10.2011 followed with required official fees Rs. 3000/- dated 13.10.2011 (Receipt No. ABCD) to office of Drug Licencing Authority for issuance of Wholesale Drug Licence. It is a matter of great concern that as on date we have not received our licence ( Even after passing of 1 year), owing to which we could not participate in various Govt. tenders.
They told they have sent many letters to my address but I did not receive any letter from their end.
I complained to Drug Licencing Authority in written on 27/Nov/2012 that kindly issue our licence without delay but they are orally responding and telling we have sent letters/intimations/cancellation orders to your address if you are not getting then what we can do? It is the fault of postal department not ours (drug authority).
Please do advice us as per consumer protection law of INDIA.

Deactivation of 3G connection without my knowledge and consent

In the month of july 2006 i had requested for a change in my bill plan to the 299 plan along with 1GB of 3G service. I received a call after few days from the customer care (date unknown) confirming that my new plan and my 3G services are active. Again after few days (date unknown) i got a call saying that a complimentary 2GB of internet usage will be given to my number free of cost for 3 months after which the 2GB will get automatically deactivated and the 1GB that i had asked for will continue. At present, as per the customer care, when the complimentary 2GB service got activated (which i never asked for), apparently the 1GB that i had requested for got automatically deactivated. This has happened without my knowledge or consent. Now the complimentary 2GB has also been deactivated as the 3 month period as promised by airtel is over. But my 1GB (that i had placed a request for) has been deactivated 3 months back and its not been reactivated after the expiry of the complimentary 2GB service. My internet usage from oct-nov is 1.66 GB (as per airtel cust care). Now i have been charged 18,158, out of which 17,000 is for 3G internet usage. Customer care states that 1GB internet usage costs 15,000 rs. I agree that i have exceed my limit by 0.6GB. I am willing to pay the additional cost. But i am not going to pay for the 1GB that was deactivated without my knowledge. How come airtel never intimated me that my bill amount has gone way beyond my credit limit (which is 7900rs). Else for everything and anything airtel calls up for new offers. Now when my bill has been shooting up enormously, nobody bothered to call. Cancelling my connection without my knowledge and charging me is CHEATING AND FOOLING the customer. I am repeatedly trying to explain this and the customer care person does not even want to acknowledge the fact that there was a miscommunication from airtel's side. He still sticks to saying one thing repeatedly "i understand what your saying mam, but you still have to pay 18,000". I hereby am not finding fault in your billing. You calculation for 1.66GB might be right. What i am trying to stress here is that i am supposed to have a 1GB connection active on my phone as per my request. The customer care has also confirmed its activation. THIS CONNECTION WAS DEACTIVATED WITHOUT INFORMING ME!!!!! Had it still been active, out of the 1.66 GB usage, charges for 1GB would have been deducted and i would have had to bear the expense only for the excess 0.66 GB that i have used. Customer care says that deactivation is an automated process and it is not manually done. INFORMING AND TAKING CONSENT OF THE CUSTOMER IS A MANUAL PROCEDURE WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE. Kindly look into this matter and do the needful.

Chitany gas Distributors agent of Bharat Gas send the cylinder without being registered by me. the delivery men shown receipt that gas cylinder booked by me yesterday. the cylinder which delivered was 3/3 at concessional rate. but the fact is I got one cylinder in the month of October 2012, i.e. 1/3 . there after i did not book any other.

I am a user of your BSNL pre paid mobile service. My BSNL Pre Paid No is 9451830633. A week ago I got a message " Thank you for Subscribing Wap service. You have been charged Rs 5 / 30 days. For other exciting subscription packs details, SMS HELP SUB to 5888899 (Toll Free) and deducted Rs 5 from my balance. Sender “588881005" , For that mesg I made a call to BSNL call center no 1503. and there one of executive (Name unknown) said that you have activated that service so your balance has been deducted. But neither me nor my family members or friends activated this service on my mobile number. I want to know that without activating from my side how can this service has been activated and how the balance has been deducted. Bsnl executive replied that service no 54000 is activated on mob & provided me Docket no “K11UE305308 on 11.11.12 At 02.45 P.M. assuranced that now the service is deactivated further there will be no deduction in your mob. Beside this the same deduction repeated on 12.11.12 at 1.59 P.M. Again I loged complaint on BSNL no 1503. Provided me new docket no “K12UE 306947” at 08.26 P.M. What will I do with these fraud Docket Nos.?
Pl note with in a week I lost Rs 50. pl refund the wrongly charged amount. Customer care executives don’t want to hear the matter carefully. Very wellknown speech “Server is down we can not help you call after 3-4 Hrs”

Very Worst and Bad service From AIR INDIA EXPRESS Airlines

Hello,
Every one I like to inform every one and also like to raise a complain all the passenger who travel By AIR INDIA EXPRESS, I had a bad experience when I was traveling From Mangalore to Doha With My wife and my child, the staff are so rude and lot of harassment's from staff till the security in the Mangalore Air Port, trying to open all the baggage’s creating problems to the passengers unnecessarily without any strong reasons.

Its has been noticed that the new ways to make money is that for access baggage weight where thy have the electronic weigh machine is to 5kgs More then the normal, usually we weigh our baggage’s from our manual weigh machine, which may have some error, considering this and taking this point in mind we reduce our things much more then the luggage allowance to avoid the charge of access luggage, but still every one find the weight more then what they expect, so the Air Port make a good profit of this charging Rs. 475/- per kg, and next thing is that after boarding the flight they don’t provide any kind of food or a glass water for hours after the take up.
Where we find and face tough time due to the flight is at 7Am and we had to report to the Airport at 5Am without having a proper breakfast, mean while I would like to tell you that I had booked my flight at 8 Am and at last movement I was lucky enough to know that have called me and informed me the flight time has changed to 7 Am or else it would be another problem that i may miss the flight, later one board the seats of the flight is such a bad condition that we cannot even lean back.

Traveling for hours its normal that passengers may need some entertainment for getting bored, but in this flight they take another advantage of the passenger to make money that is the drop down the TV screen with a movie which is of their own choice and each TV provided for 2 passengers where it cant even watched properly with fading effect on it, and try to sell the headphones to hear the Audio of the movie, and this headphones are waste after they use in in the aircraft because its not useful for any audio equipment, later on the food supplied is not even worth for animals to eat, such kind of food are supplied for passengers, were I noticed everything is returned back to dustbin when gathering back, After that comes liquors for selling like whisky wine bear etc to make again some bossiness in the board ,The Airlines are taking advantage as there are no other international flights from Mangalore where the passengers are helpless and forced to take a direct flight from Mangalore. This flights does not have any accurate timings and can change their timings at anytime, more over flights also can cancel any movement and even refund not available so we can take any other flight to avoid delay even though the fault and delay is from their side. earlier I have noticed there were 2 flights in a week and now its 1 flight for a week witch is not reliable, the timings are very early morning which is makes in convince to all passengers who are traveling, The Air India Express is not bothered of giving a good service but trying to make Money and take advantage of the passengers who are helpless, and they say the flights are going in loss may be this is th reason they try to recover their loss in this kind of business, even though they don’t have any feelings of Air crash took place recently, and passengers traveling in this are flying with risk, comparing to this I really appreciate Emirates Airlines which I use to fly from Bangalore to Doha, Via Dubai, but I do enjoy the good service , I had 8Kgs of access baggage were I was not charged any this extra for this due to the kindness of the airlines, the baggage allowance was 30Kg and the Hand bag allowance was 7kgs ,and the cabin crew I found were polite too, the food was excellent , and they had provide a free TV to each seat in front of the passengers with a control box hanging were we can select movie ,songs and games to kind along with a free head phones, there was also a night lamp where we can use it for our convenience, tea coffee are provide to everyone on request any time when they needed it, they also provide toys ,color pencil blankets to kids and children with some special gifts which makes children happy to enjoy the journey, it was said Emirates Airline gets Award every year for the best service and performance, but just I had taken a chance in the Indian Express that to avoid traveling to Bangalore to take this fight, that was a mistake I had made and faced this problem, or else traveling to Bangalore is not so tough as there are more then 400 luxury super deluxe AC bus Pvt and Govt, every day to and fro, where we don’t even find tired after a sleep in the sleeper coach and next morning reaching to Bangalore, Airport buses are available from the bus stop which makes passengers convenient, and the New Bangalore International Airport is excellent comparing to Mangalore Airport.
So I request and cooperate all who have gone thorough this problems and also join hands to teach them a lesson, that the Airlines are for the service of People and its not that the People are here to give them business and take advantages of them, And stop to put an end to this Monkey Business.

samsung smart tv purcharsed from croma (malad)

While the technician was giving demo we realised that the camara and the sound demo was not done satisfactory.

Cheating by nokia care

I took my nokia 701 for repairs (outgoing audio was not working) to Vashi telecom .the women on counter asked me several questions. i told her that my device was severely damaged before and it is out of warranty. i have replace the screen and the touch pad before in nokia care pune and the PCB is bent. i also told her that this phone has been locally repaired once for microphone. the lady rote something on the paper and told me to wait for 25min, they will check the handset. after the checking was done i switched on the device. the device switched on but the touch was not working. i told the care ppl that the touch was working before i handed over my mobile to you. they said that its not our fault, your mobile was locally repaired so thats why your touch pad must have stopped working.

now can can touchpad stop working after 20min. i repaired it locally before 3months and the touchpad was replaced by nokia care not locally. i know that they have replaced my touchpad with faulty one because my touchpad had a little scratch at the earpiece area.

when i was sitting there to get my phone checked in that 20 min lots of customers were unhappy with their service and many of them fought with the center people. the Nokia care people were very rude. the place where the center is located is small and congested. I think the place should be shut down by nokia. nokia is known for the best services, this place is ruining Nokia's name.

Reliance GSM Services - Incorrect Charges

I am a user of Reliance GSM Prepaid connection in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India)
On 20 Sept I activated night calling pack of Rs. 69, for unlimited reliance mobile to reliance mobile calls all over India from night 11 pm to morning 6am for 15 days.
Now I made 2 calls to a reliance mobile in Delhi one at 11:02 pm and another at 11:29 pm and one call to local reliance mobile in Ahmedabad at 11:30 pm, I am charged for all these three calls.
I called up customer care, they answered the call, said that the "network is down" and disconnected the call.
This is just so much ridiculous.
Dont understand what these reliance people are doing.
I have already made another complaint regarding reliance blackberry services, and now this one more issue on the same day. Worst of all, they dont even talk properly, all they do is, DISCONNECT YOUR CALL (simply hang up).

I spoke with Zuber, a supervisor in customer care team & I'm told that my night plan is not active.
I asked him if it is so, can he see that I made a call last night (20 Sept 2012) at 1 am on a Reliance Mobile number and the call lasted for over 40 mins and I was not charged for this call, he said he doesnt know.

I asked him, if he doesnt know whom should I speak to, he said he is registering my complaint and it will be resolved in next 48 hours, I asked if my plan is now active & whether or not can I use it, he says, no I must not use it as the plan is not active.

I told him that I have the information of the e-recharge of Rs. 69, I can give him that but I want my plan to be activated, he says, he cant do anything as of now & he disconnected my call.

Then, on 22 Sept 2012 evening 9 pm:

I received SMS from Reliance that the call charges charged to me for calls made on 20 Sept 2012 on Reliance mobile after night 11 pm (despite of having activated my night calling pack) are charged correctly and so I wont be receiving any refund at all for those call charges.

I called up customer care & told them that, I have received SMS from Reliance immediately after having done recharge of Rs. 69 that my night calling pack is activated & I can now enjoy free reliance mobile to reliance mobile calls from night 11 pm to morning 6 am for 15 days, and not only that, I had made few calls on 20 Sept 2012 from 1 am onwards on Reliance mobiles in various parts of India and those calls in total would have been approx. for over 45 mins and I was still not charged for those calls, this proves that my Night pack was activated and they just said, "I WONT BE REFUNDED ANY MONEY" and disconnected the call.

My night calling pack for which I paid on 20 Sept 2012 at 00:49 WORKED TEMPORARILY FROM 1 am to about 1:45 am and after that is not working since 20 Sept 2012 11 pm (although the validity is 15 days).
The calls that I made after 20 Sept 2012 are not going to be refunded as Reliance says those calls are charged correctly.
When I explained them the entire situation (for about 10th time ever since I have made the complaint), they didnt bother hearing it, said "NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED AND ALL CALLS ARE CHARGED CORRECTLY".

Well as in my previous complaint I have mentioned how dealsandyou.Com cheated customers like us against my bb 8900 curve, which was a defected & old mobile.After the complaint lodged here, than someone from dealsandyou.Com & told me that 'within 3 to 4 working days you will get your new mobile'. But upto 10 or 12 days I didn't get any information.So after continuous follow up of again 4-5 days, again someone told you will send back your money in the form of a/C payee cheque.But again same thing happened.
So finally after a long gap they return me in the form of credit voucher.Fine I DID agree with them.So on 5th Sept 2012 ,I again ordered a mobile -htc wildfire , against that credit voucher of rs.10,449/- & Paisa extra rs.300/- From my bro's Sbi debit card.
Now its being more than 12 days I haven't yet received any courier.Where as they are saying maximum with 7 days, you will get your ordered product.So within this last 12-13 days, I have called up dealsandyou C.C. More than 25 times.
Sometimes they are not picking the call,sometimes ivr is audio able but directly interacting with C.C.E. Cheating by Samsung India in selling defective LCD

I have purchased SAMSUNG LCD TV, 40 inches (Model no. LA40B5501) in the month of September 2009.This product of Samsung comes with a warranty of one year.

SAMSUNG has cheated me right from the date of purchase by supplying “Defective LCD TV”.

This is evident from the fact that within few months of purchase the MOTHERBOARD of the LCD-TV stopped working and after taking up the matter repeatedly with the service centre it was replaced with a new one.

However, Real flavour of buying Samsung TV was yet to be seen. First, its circuit got damaged then its remote had issues and to get them repaired, I’ve spent my hard earned money only because Samsung has supplied me the defective product.

Now the biggest part, "the LCD screen" started showing its true colors which are nothing but the negative like images i.e. to say whatever we see in SAMSUNG LCD TV, because of expertise of SAMSUNG it is seen with a perfect blend of black color.

After this latest problem started, I again took it to the service centre of SAMSUNG and was informed that the estimated cost to replace the LCD screen in INR 25000/-

Wow, I am amazed by the Business Model, SAMSUNG has designed to cheat the innocent customers, they overall realize double the amount of MRP through the route of service on their Products because they have designed their products in such a way that all the major parts of the product start getting non-performing/ineffective at the end of warranty period so that through the route of customer service centre the customer pays for all the parts again.

In my case I was lucky, at-least the motherboard got damaged in warranty period so I saved few bucks otherwise the cost would be like, initial cost 57,000/- then for the motherboard, then for the circuit, then for the remote and now for the LCD screen. Overall the total cost would land up somewhere around INR 1,14,000/-

I have purchased SAMSUNG LCD-TV and one of the reason behind buying was the competitive pricing of SAMSUNG product but I being the innocent buyer could not realize the master game plan of being trapped by SAMSUNG.

This is to highlight that an innocent consumer should be saved of the pain of using such Defective Product/BRAND. Even if there is some technical error, I believe it can be resolved. I expect from Brand Samsung to resolve this issue in best manner possible to set an example for the consumer at large and prove themselves.

Keenly waiting for resolution of the issue.

Complaint regarding fridge cooling (rna120827089662)

LG product quality and customer care leaves a lot to be desired. Fridge stops cooling within a year of purchase, fairly rude service personnel asks us to keep the fridge open for 5 hours and check if the problem 'goes away', comes back after 2 days and says that a part needs to be replaced. Now it seems the part will be available after a week (the service personnel does not even have the courtesy to call back and inform me about this, I came to know after a call to the service center).
This is my last purchase from LG. If someone from LG Customer Care is reading this and intends to change my opinion, do call me on the number listed in your records (complaint number in the subject of this post).

Complaint regarding LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd -1.5 ton Split

I am the owner of 1.5 ton LG split Air conditioner bearing Sl. No.005NLYX001786 and Model No.LSA5LPAF6. The original invoice/bill is not traceable but to the best of my information the air-conditioner was purchased by me in July 2010. Subsequently I have entered into an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) with M/s. LG Electronics Pvt. Limited vide HLP No. : MJ 038983 on 25th March, 2013 against payment of Rs.2391/-(Rupees two thousand three hundred ninety one). The comprehensive AMC started from 25.03.2013 and was to end on 26.03.2014.
On noticing that the air-conditioner was not giving required cooling, I registered a complaint with LG Electronics helpline No.18001809999 on 21.09.2013 at 09:43 AM and the complaint No. provided was RNA 130921084843. The reason mentioned in the SMS from LG Electronics received by me was (Gas charging). Subsequently, an Engineer from LG Electronics visited my residence and informed that the air-conditioning unit requires refilling of gas. As for the next 5 days, there was no further repair/service support from LG Electronics, I spoke over phone No.0120-4177550 with LG Electronics, Noida service center. At the service center my call was eventually put through to Shri Sudhakar Tyagi (Cell No.7838651691) who informed me that one particular spare part required to repair my air-conditioner was no longer in supply by LG Electronics and as such my air-conditioning unit could not be repaired.
He advised that I should submit a photocopy of the bill/invoice relating to purchase of air-conditioner along with a copy of the AMC receipt. He also suggested that I should make a request to LG Electronics Pvt. Ltd. to refund the depreciated value of the air-conditioner as the Company is unable to repair the same.
As my air-conditioner was purchased in July 2010 I was unable to understand how a reputed Company such as LG Electronics had discontinued spares support to a fairly new product and therefore requested that I be allowed to speak to his superior. After constant persuasion, I was provided with the cell Number of one Shri Sameer Dhiman (Cell No.9811354534), Sales Manager, LG Electronics, NOIDA. I spoke to Shri Dhiman on 3.10.2013 during which Shri Dhiman repeated the same suggestions earlier given by Shri Tyagi. During my conversation with him on 3.10.2013, I specifically requested Shri Dhiman to provide to me in writing, the exact reason for the inability of the Company to repair the air-conditioning unit and also to spell out in writing the offer regarding payment of depreciated value.
Shri Dhiman refused to provide either of the above.
As my queries and requests had not been complied with, I requested Shri Dhiman to provide me the name and cell no. of his superiors. After my innumerable requests, Shri Dhiman provided me with cell number of the person who he claimed to be his superior i.e. Ms. Puja Mathur (Cell No.9811354152), Branch Head, Ghaziabad. On contacting Ms. Puja Mathur on the aforesaid cell number, the person flatly denied being the superior officer of Shri Dhiman and claimed that Shri Dhiman was infact her boss.
Therefore, the facts are that
1. LG Electronics has discontinued spares support to their product which was sold by it in the year 2010.
2. LG Electronics entered into an Annual Maintenance Contract for a product for which it did not provide spares support.
3. LG Electronics is neither repairing my Air Conditioner, nor providing me in writing, the reasons for its inability to do so.

LG Split AC inlet unit leaking reported but no response

I purchased an LG wall mount AC in the month of April , water started leaking from indoor unit with in days of its purchase , I formally lodged a complaint wit the LG customer care , So the service personal visited my home to fix the issue upon loooking the complaint they said its an installation problem and said that they would send appropriate persons to hadle it. later there was a no show from them when i enquired this with the customer care they repoted that the complaint has been "CLOSED" so i lodged another complaint but i did not get any response from the LG service center. so for the Third time i lodged the complaint regarding the issue, the complaint number is : rna 120809006354. on 8/9/2012 around 3:15 PM IST. Till date i did not get any response , so when i called them back to know the status they replied that the complaint is closed . I filed and won my first consumer court case!

I would like to share some of my experience with consumer court case. I happened like i was totally frustrated with the service and handling of my new royal enfield. I got some series problems within couple of months from purchase, i showed lot of patience and visited the service center for n number of times in a short period. but the kind of response i got from them was worst and they failed every time in solve the issues. I kept on telling them that ill drag this issues to the consumer forum, but they never took me serious. finally i made up my mind and started gathering the information about how the things work and the procedure related to consumer court.
I filed the case, and they received the notice for the same, then the matter become serious for them. later i got couple of calls from the dealer, they were completely changed this time and was promising me to get it service at my door step. but at that time my mind was completely made up, could be due mental harassment and frustration i gone through for one year.
so the case went on for nearly 8 months and result were made in my favor. i was on top of the world that day.:)
few things you must do when u get any new product:
1) get the bills with all signed.
2) if u r getting serviced ur product, keep the documents and bills for the same.
3) before signing any paper for the company, read the declaration and mention the word if not satisfied and then sign. this will help when u go legal. I had missed this part, and the company guys edited the job cards writing "found ok ". I was shocked for a moment, as that was not written by me. for my good, i had taken a copy of original job cards(usually they never give it to the costumer, as they keep them for their records)
4) keep the things or paper most of the time. dont go with only word commitments of the dealer.
some of my personal advice, If ur not serious then please dont step in consumer forum. as you must need lot of patience to go through the procedures. be prepared even if the case goes for long term. speak 2-3 times about your consumer court thoughts with the dealer before filing, as many time things get resolved with the word "consumer court" used in your conversation:). last option should be filing the case.

On 18 july 2012, I contacted Airtel customer care person for getting information about Roaming call and SMS charges and Roaming plan.

Your representive told about 43 rupees plan getting Rs. 38 as a main balance. In that He also told that validity is for 6 months and I deactivate it at any time. We confirm this from your two different representive. After that both are told same thing as i mention in above.

I recharge Rs. 43 on my number name "Roaming freedom". But i didn't receive any main balance till today. Your person told about that balance, we got very soon. But not receive.

As previous conversation with your customer care representative, today 23 July 2012, I going to de-activate the service but all our person says this is not possible. You have to stay in this service for 2 month.

Again i call customer care, different answer, This is not done by me, i don't know how to do. This scheme for 3 months.

Again I call customer care, They told this is for 6 month. No option to de-activate. You have to pay as per roaming charges.

Again call customer care, I told them what the representative told on 18th July, the answer of him is, Sorry sir, Wrong information provided to you.
We cant do anything regarding that. You have to pay for charges as per scheme.

Again we call, this is shocking answer by you person,""" This scheme is for 3 years"".

I found that this plan validity increase as representative changes. Your employers have very wrong information related to plans and provide wrong information to customer.

Samsung poor quality Window A/C 1.5 Ton

I bought Samsung Window A/C 1.5 ton Last yr in 10/6/2011 and from last season it started giving an trouble of low cooling the temperature doesn't go down even if you set an temperature at 18 and run overnight room temperature doesn't go beyond 25 . I have another Samsung window A/C of 1.5 ton which i bought on 28/4/2011 last yr same model that is also having same problem and the temperature doesn't go down beyond 22. I have registered my complaint at Samsung and they forwarded my complaint to their franchisee Raj Air-conditioned Co. at Shalimar Garden Extn. Ghaziabad contact Person Alam- 8130298902.

They have called off my A/C on JUNE 7th and since then my A/C is with them every day when I call them they give me excuses’ that they are waiting for capillary tube which they got it after 10 days of wait and then give me an excuses that they are changing PCB as well and now when today i called them I got an excuse that for fitting PCB there in 4 point required which they are not having even in this peak season I feel really awe full why I bought Samsung products I am very much disappointed with Samsung services if they can't repair the product in 3 weeks and that too when heat is at peak then why I have gone for a branded product like Samsung which got malfunctioned even in few months it’s really shame on Samsung quality my both A/C are not working and I strongly recommend not to buy any Samsung products COZ their services are really pathetic and Samsung don't provide spare parts to their Authorised Service centres....

I want Samsung should replace my both A/C immediately without any further delay.

I, from amritsar had come into contact through a person naming bhuwan yadav.i paid him a cash payment of rs.12000 for entry fee as he told me that i had to work 1 or 2 hour daily and will earn.but i worked 5 to 8 hours daily.and not earn single penny,and lost which i paid before.i have worked for 5 to 6 months continously approx. but all in vain.he told me that i had to minimum 400 accurate add posts..but i did 3000 .but did not get a single penny in my account.this is totally fraud .as i experienced.
dont know your company is fraud or your employees in the name of company.but dont know how they cheat the innocent people and i will call them internet cheater.

Today (29.5.2012)is the fourth call from me to Samsung Customer care.(0120 30308282) Samsung Company's Consumer Redressal department should direct the Authorised Service Centres in Chennai, to rectify the defect in my A.C.machine. Call Centre people cannot command authorised service centres as they are only paid by Samsung and need not bother about Customers' satisfaction. They can politely say "sorry sir".

Within a period of 24 months I came to know the A.C.machine, started icing in the front panel just after an hour after it is started.

and third class looking paint colours and doors.

The sell more car paks than available and at the time of handover run away after collecting all the money and alloting the car parks and the amenities

SAmsung refuging to comply to waaranty of mobile

My husband gifted my samsung wave ii mobile in august, 2011 on my b.day. He has given me the box but not the bill and on 10th sept. He died in road accident. Now my mobile developed some problem so I approached service centre & I showed them the box of mobile but they said warranty is void if you can not produce the bill. I BOUGHT LG LED TV MODEL 32LV3500 BY EMI IN BHARATH ELECTRONICS & APPLIANCES(BEA) AT COIMBATORE, TAMILNADU. FOR DESPATCH, THEY TOLD THAT IT WILL BE DIRECT DOOR DELIVERY AROUND 8.00PM FROM THEIR WAREHOUSE ONLY. SO I JUST GOT BACK TO MY ROOM. AT NIGHT AROUND 10PM I RECIEVED CALL FROM THE SHOP GUY FOR DELIVERY. I RECIEVED AND SIGNED THE COPY. WHEN I OPENED I GOT SHOCKED THAT TV HAVE SCRATCHES AT BACKSIDE AND THE SCREW PART SEEMS IT GOT ALREADY OPENED, SO DUSTY AT BACK SIDE. THEN I NOTICED THERE WAS A MISMATCH IN MFD NUMBER ON REMOTE COVER AND TV. I GUESS, THEY SEND ME THE USED TV. HOW CAN I APPROACH THIS TO GET JUSTICE? CAN ANY ONE HELP ME PLZZZZZ.....

I recently went to SP road to get computer hardware to assemble my computer. I was aware of a few reputed places like Golcha, Ashirwad and jainex so i went everywhere inquiring about availability and Prices. I found Jainex computers to be very fair in terms of their pricing as well as service so i brought a corsair 400 D cabinet and a 1TB Western Digital caviar black. He sold me the HD for 6200 + 5% Vat. Now after a few days i had assembled my comp and installed windows and other software, i went to the WD site for registering my drive. I knew that the caviar blacks have 5 years of warranty and i found the warranty was expiring in June 2013. I followed instructions on WD site and mailed support for an update on the warranty from the date of purchase. To my shock WD support mailed back saying that Jainex has sold me a replacement drive that was sent to a customer on 4th of April. They asked me to return the drive back and ask for a new one and to get the serial number checked from them to establish if the product is new.

I called Jainex and they said that the drives have 1 year warranty only. I told him he can check on the Wd site, its clearly lists 5 years and i also have mails from WD support confirming the 5 yrs warranty. I was considering getting my other Hardware from them but this incident has put a huge question mark on the credibility of this dealer and its business practices. So far this issue has been resolved. I have asked for a new drive with 5 yrs warranty or a cash refund.
